Author Biographies:
Georges A. Fauriol is a senior associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He previously taught in Georgetown University’s Democracy and Governance Program. He received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s from Ohio University.
Natalie Larsen is a student at the University of Chicago studying international relations. Her work focuses on Latin America, economics, and populism. Ms. Larsen also received her bachelor’s in Global Studies from the University of Chicago as well.
Jeffery Fisher is a Senior Fellow for the Center for Democracy and Civil Society. Mr. Fischer has held three election directorships in internationally supervised elections and was a member of the International Electoral Assistance Team (IEAT) in Iraq. Mr. Fisher received his degrees from George Mason University.
Sam Yeboah is a researcher at OLAM Research, a network of research-driven global pro-democracy, human rights, free markets, and inclusion labs. He specialized in Constitutional and International Law at the University of London Law School, where he completed a Qualifying Law Degree (England & Wales). Additionally, Sam holds a Master’s in Technology and Learning Design.
Bowen Qi holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, and an M.A. in Democracy and Governance (Comparative Politics) from Georgetown University. His research interests include civil society, state-building, authoritarianism, political economy, and contentious politics in the former Soviet bloc and Central and Eastern Europe
